Did you know that it is easy to request your favorite books and authors at your local library?
This is great news for bookworms everywhere. Librarians curate their collections and services according to their community’s needs. Have you ever wondered why some libraries have huge romance collections while others have tons of sci-fi or even genealogical records? They’re responding directly to their patrons’ requests!
That means your branch’s librarians want to hear about what you love to read. And for eBook lovers, many libraries now offer eBook loans through apps like Libby, CloudLibrary, and Hoopla.
Making a library request is super simple:
1) Visit your local library. Ask to speak with the Branch Manager or Acquisitions Librarian.
2) Tell them about the book you want to see on the shelves! To make this part even easier for your librarian it’s helpful to provide the book title, author name, and ISBN (if you can find it.)
Here’s a printable booklist of my works – so all you have to do is hand it to your librarian!
